Finding your own practitioner

  1. Ask other women. Some of my best practitioners came from a friend's recommendation.
  2. Look for a specialist interest. A practitioner who focuses on menopause, ADHD or trauma will usually know far more than a generalist.
  3. Take your notes with you. A symptom diary or checklist helps you ask better questions.
  4. Trust your gut. If you feel dismissed, you're allowed to find someone else.
